We don't have school prefect's day in the US, but we do have what we call Open House, where friends and family can be invited to your school. If this is close ,a verbal or telephone invite is OK.
A good wording for an invitation to a school's annual day would be something like, Please join us to celebrate. You could then include some of the activities that will be taking place.
Yes, you should still send a wedding invitation to anyone who will be out of town on the day of your wedding so they have the opportunity of keeping it as a memento.
The letter written to a friend describing her sports day that was held at the school can explain the events that were held. It can tell of her accomplishments throughout the day. It can also tell things that were considered favorite parts of the day.
If you are unsure what day a school will reopen, call the school. Even if school has not been open for students, it is likely that someone will be there.

First, make sure that you have a passport. If you are in the US, go to the post office and make arrangements if you do not have one already. Is the invitation from a real person, a person you know? If so, is the invitation specific, or was it meant as a general statement: "You must come to Italy some day; it is beautiful!"Is the invitation from a school, business or some other entity? You would need to know where and/or with whom you will be staying, if that was part of the invitation. Otherwise, you need to make hotel plans as well as travel plans. Have all this worked out.Contact a good travel agency and they will help you with booking flights and hotels.
