A Cockney's hat typically refers to a "flat cap," which is a traditional style of headwear associated with working-class Londoners, particularly those from the East End. The flat cap is often made of tweed or wool and has a rounded, stiff brim. It symbolizes a distinct aspect of Cockney culture, embodying the informal, down-to-earth style of the community.
Titfer. As in tit fer tat, or to non-Cockneys, tit for tat, meaning to pay back some kind of wrong.
No. People from London are called Londoners. 'Cockneys' is an outdated expression.
The East End district of London.
Literally it means brave cockneys. A cockney is someone born in the East End of London , supposedly within the sound of the Bow bells . They are characterised by having the worst sort of London accent and speaking in rhyming slang. They were valorous during World War II when the Germans were trying to bomb London into submission.
her has the hat She has the hat. The monkey
No. Consider that not all the Man U players are from England, and a number of individuals from the home country of a given player will root for Man U because their countryman is playing for that side. There are others still (non-cockneys) who like this group of footballers, and will be fans with no other motivation than they like the way the lads perform on the pitch.
This is a matter of opinion an ddifficult to answer. Firstly, there are few people left who would really consider themselves cockneys and the cockney accent is rarely heard. I suspect that most Londoners don't really think of Northerners either positively or negatively. The answer may well be different if you consider what London football supporters think of supporters of Northern teams.
