Some of the principles chivalry developed on its own were prowess (courage, strength, skill), the tradition of courtly love, and largesse (generosity).
To help civilize fighting, the Catholic Church pushed for a code of chivalry. It urged the principles of Honor, Respect and Fair Play. To fight for glory rather than money or power.
The basic principles to the Code of Chivalry were faith, modesty, loyalty, courtesy, bravery, and honor. The ideal knight respected and defended his church, king, country, and victims of injustice.

Knights were expected to uphold the code of chivalry, which included virtues such as courage, loyalty, honesty, and courtesy. They were also expected to protect the weak and defend their lord and the Church.
Originally, chivalry was knighthood. It was the business of being a heavily armored cavalryman. There was a lot entailed in this in the Middle Ages, as a knight had to have an income and land to support his purchase of armor, raising horses, and keeping a support staff. This, in turn, meant having lands to support the process, with peasants, and all the infrastructure involved. In time a Code of Chivalry was developed, which governed the actions of the knights, at least in theory. The Code of Chivalry required the knight to be merciful to enemies, be protective of the poor and anyone without defense, including all women, be loyal, be careful to protect the Church, and so on.
If a person does any criminal or other offenses in the church and also the one's against biblical principles in the church, they are forbidden from the membership. Also if by notice any principles or policies of the church is overridden it happens
