Female astronauts use a funnel-shaped device called a “urine collection device” to urinate in space. This device helps to funnel the urine into a tube that can be connected to the spacecraft's waste management system. Gravity is not present in space so the urine needs to be contained and managed carefully to avoid any potential issues.
Using the toilet is better than the alternative.
Men typically stand in front of the toilet or urinal, a special type of toilet. They sit to have a bowel movement, or when they think they need to urinate and defecate. Women sit for either one.

astrounauts use the toilet the same way we do. And when they are finished the press a button and it sucks all the waste into space.they have this so called space toilets wherein they have to wear seat belts to stop them from floating away when they use it. Space toilets don't flush. Everything is sucked away instead.
