You can definitely use YTube to build a business, so many have done it and still continue to do so, to this date. However, it takes tremendous amount of hard work. You have to be comfortable creating content. Your content must be of some value like: Educative, informative (reviews) or Entertainment. The subject of the content you will create will determine how much money you can make from yTube. You basically earn a share from the ad revenue that Ytube earns from advertisers. For example, if you have a tech related channel, you tend to earn more. If you have have a channel where to talk about your daily life (like what you have for breakfast and how your dog chewed your apple watch), the revenue will be lesser.
