Tobit is a book in the Catholic bible.
Jesus didn't write anything to do with the bible.....his stories were said orally then one day john decided to write how he died and then Matthew mark and luke......they wrote the stories from stories they were told so Jesus didn't wirte any of the bible he merly just explain the stories so future people could write it :)
there are tons of good stories in the bible. some of My favorites growing up were David and Goliath, Easter, Ruth, Abraham, the Israel's slavery in Egypt, Joseph, Samson, Israel's exodus and arival into Cannan, just to name a few.
There are MANY, MANY, MANY stories in the Bible; the Bible itself is the story of mankind! In fact, just of Jesus alone, on of the Gospels had commented that if ALL the miracles that Jesus had done were recorded, the books would fill the entire world!
Literally thousands. Most of the Bible is stories. The story of creation, of the flood, of a man being made a nation, of a brother stealing the blessing of a brother, of a father-in-law tricking his son in law, of a brother being sold into slavery, of that brother being the salvation of the family that sold him. That's just in the first book. Plus there are others in the book.
The shortest chapter in The Bible is Psalm 117 (which is coincidentally, just about exactly in the middle of The Bible.)
Is the Bible cruel with its stories full of violence and killing? Gosh, no! The stories in the Bible are just stories that had something to do with God. The Bible is not cruel. The Bible tells us what's right and wrong, and helps us through life.
True, most stories about star-shaped figures do not originate from the Bible and are just religious myths.
There were no morals in myths. They were just stories of Gods and were told. They are kind of like the bible, for the bible has no 'moral' it just tells a story

No, many atheists I know read the Bible more for philosophy. Some read it just for the stories. You don't have to be a christian to read the Bible. The Bible is used by other religions as well. The old testament is straight from Judaism, and mormons use a slightly different version of the Bible in their churches. Regardless of your religious beliefs, the Bible contains good lessons for everyone.
No ... they are just worded differently. KJV uses an older language where 'thy' is your, 'thee' is you, etc etc. The meaning is the same, just a little harder to understand.
I'm not sure, but there are 66 books of the bible. Each one has many stories There are 39 books in the Old Testament and 27 in the New Testament. Not sure if there is a count on individual stories inside those books though.
