Every color that the human eye can detect, every shade of paint that was ever

mixed, every nuance of tone ever suggested by light, every hue of fabric that was

ever dyed, all the thousands of named colors and thousands more that were never

yet named, are all in the rainbow. The number of them that you can pick out is

limited only by the ability of your retina to distinguish between colors with nearly

equal wavelengths.
