The Roman numeral you have included is not a valid number. Generally speaking C is 100 and X = 10 so in the case of the number mentioned, it starts as XC = 90 (ten less than 100). Then comes L, which is 50 so we could get 140... but the right way to write 140 in Roman numberals is CXL not XCL.

Then you add the D, which is 500. This number should definitely come at the front. Then you add V which is 5.

Assuming the number you wanted to represent was 545 you would put: DCXLV not XCLDV.

What is ivx in roman numerals?

In Roman numerals, "ivx" is not a valid representation of any number. Roman numerals follow a specific set of rules where smaller numerals placed before larger ones indicate subtraction. "IV" represents the number 4, "V" represents 5, and "X" represents 10. So, if we break down "ivx," it would be read as "IV X," which doesn't conform to the rules of Roman numeral notation.

Why do we not use Roman Numerals a lot these days.Thank you Regards, Aarav Mishra?

It's somewhat tautological, but one reason we don't use them is because nobody uses them. Not everyone can read them, so using them limits the number of people who can read what you wrote, and that generally defeats the purpose of writing something. The second is that they're inefficient compared to Arabic numerals. Compare a simple number like 1,234. The Roman Numeral equivalent is MCCXXXIV. Look at how many more characters that is than the Arabic numerals, and that's only a thousand. Imagine how many Roman Numerals you'd need to write a number in the billions. The third is that Arabic numerals are built with math in mind. When you write math in Arabic numerals the equivalent values are in the same places, but with the Roman system they can be all over the place. For example, 9-7 in Roman numerals would be IX - VII. It's very unintuitive to read, and getting from the numbers that you start with to the ones that you'll end up with will mean converting them to different formats.

Why don't people use roman numerals for months in dates anymore?

People don't use Roman numerals for months in dates anymore because the Arabic numeral system is more efficient and easier to use in everyday life. Arabic numerals are quicker to write, easier to read, and widely understood across different cultures and languages. Roman numerals are still used in some contexts, such as in the names of monarchs or for numbering certain events (e.g., Super Bowl), but they are not practical for general use in dates.
