How does the Bible convey truth and meaning?

While advancements in science often explain how things work, they rarely address the question of why they happen. To consider why is to contemplate the existence of a realm that transcends and surpasses the physical world.

If The Bible is truly God's communication to us, then it is our key to answering the why question. After all, that higher and transcending realm belongs to God.

Isaiah 55:8,9 "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts."

God, the almighty of the spiritual realm, continually answers the why question with eternal verities that supersede physical facts. Truths regarding the spiritual realm are made logical to us because God has placed His spirit within us. Consider a reality God has communicated to us in Ephesians.

Ephesians 1:4 "According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:"

The reality of our identity as God's children makes sense to us because our spirit has been impressed with this truth. This bit of spiritual knowledge explaining why things happen provides understanding far beyond the answers offered by scientific advancement. Many related truths answering the why question also open to us as we continue in the study of God's Word.

I Corinthians 2:12 "Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God."
