This is an excellent question "How many mothers are listed in The Bible?"
All Mothers can take comfort as the biblical texts are full of their kind.
The first mother mentioned is Eve, the wife of the 8th day man ethhaadam (what many refer to as Adam)
Some key moms mentioned (but not all mothers by a long shot), are those of the family of Eve (Genesis 2,3, and 4)
Noah's wives and his sons wives, who were all Mothers of their children (Genesis 7)
Abrahams wives Hagar the Egyptian (who was the mother of Ishmael), Sarah (Genesis 11), who was the Mother of Isaac (in Isaac shall the seed be called) and Keturah who was the mother of many sons of them median (Genesis 25)
Isaac's wife Rebekah (Genesis 25) who was the mother of Esau and Jacob (who becomes all Israel)
Jacob and his wives (Genesis 29-30) to which all of the sons of Israel are born (all 12) Leah (Ruben, Simeon, Levi, Judah,Issachar,Zebulun) and Rachael (Jacob, Benjamin) as well as their hand maids; Zilpha (L) (Gad, Asher) and Bilhah (R) (Dan, Naphtali)
In the days in which the Judges ruled over Israel there are two special moms written of in the book of Ruth, those being Naomi and Ruth. There is a lot to be learned from these two Moms.
Finally I need to mention Mary who was mother to Christ. One who bared the shame of becoming pregnant without a husband in order that our Lord andSaviorwould be born and walk with us in the flesh.
There are many more mothers written in biblical texts, I am but scratching the surface here (example Davids wives) There are many lessons of mothers given in the biblical texts (hundreds). 1 Kings 3:16-28 is just a glimpse of the love of a mother toward her child.
