U.S. quarters minted before 1965 weighed 6.25 grams and contain 90% silver, which comes out to 5.625 grams of silver per coin. One ounce is about 28.35 grams, so it would take five quarters to get one ounce (5.04 coins, to be more exact).
it takes nearly 3 - 90% silver half dollars to make an oz of silver IF IF IF the coins are not worn down.. the least worn are the franklin and Kennedy halves the most worn are the walking liberties halves.. it can take up to 6 of them[WL's] if they are really.really worn to make an oz of silver! be careful as Midas Resources,Ted Anderson, and Alex jones claim 2 half dollars equal 1 oz of silver, which is not correct.
1 fluid ounce = 29.57353 mL (to 7 significant digits)
Neither they're the same amount edit: They are NOT the same amount. 1oz = 28350mg 1oz > 100mg
One ounce. 1oz = 25grams

cost of 1oz of silver in 1971
As of 21 July 2016, one 1oz Silver Eagle is worth just over $19.
No U.S. 1oz silver coins dated 1900 were made. Please post a new question with better information.
16oz per 1lb 4 quarters = 1oz 4 quarters(1oz) x 16=64 That means 64 quarters weigh 1lb 64 quarters = $16 So if you had a bag of quarters that weighed 24lbs. You can Multiply 16x24=$384. I think that's correct but not sure, could possibly be $480 like the other website said. I think they believe that 12 ounces = 1lb and that's incorrect.
