The division of whole numbers refers to the process of distributing a total quantity into equal parts or groups. It involves determining how many times one whole number (the divisor) can fit into another whole number (the dividend). The result of this operation is called the quotient. If the division does not result in a whole number, there may be a remainder that indicates how much is left over after the division.
A division problem shows how many times one number (the divisor) can fit into another number (the dividend). It represents the process of splitting a quantity into equal parts or groups. The result of the division is called the quotient, which indicates how much of the dividend remains after the division. Additionally, it can reveal relationships between quantities, such as rates or ratios.

Once there was a man with 72 sheep. And his friend said, "Forsooth, thou shalt divide thy sheep into nine equal groups!" And there was much rejoicing.
It depends. If the division is wider than an ordinary pencil then it is a centimetre. If it is much narrower than that then it is a millimetre.

Of course a big no - no,as every one knows that icse board is much tougher then that of cbse, cbse is favourable to get better marks in board exams but icse should be recommended most as its English is of high standard, icse use to teach in detail which is helpful bt on other hand marks is also needed for good scope in future which is favoured by cbse....I m also a student of icse board studying in class 11 and but have knowledge of these boards...Dont think friend to get into icse as u must hv a habit of studying cbse easy pattern as compared to icse....Hope so u will take right decision.. . . .. . ..
I studied in CBSE for 12 years, from Kintergarden to Xth and moved over to State Board (TN) for my higher secondary. From my experience, I would rate ICSE to be the toughest, followed by CBSE and State. ICSE / CBSE syllabi are designed to promote thinking among children, going by the way examination questions are framed (answers to questions are not directly found in textbooks but are related to the syllabus) whereas state board examinations are usually straightforward questions from the book. The downside of ICSE / CBSE (esp if you happen to be in TN) is that you stand a much lesser chance of landing a seat in popular colleges (Engg / Med) since the entrance exams for these are based on state board syllabus and students from state board score much higher than those from ICSE / CBSE since they are considered on a level platform irrspective of the boards. also it is the cbse syllabus which helps one to crack all sorts of competitive exams and it brings out the true knowledge of a person.

It has been said that the CBSE syllabus is far better than the SSC. The CBSE stresses concentric curriculum which means that the topics that are taught in a year will be the continuation of the previous year, or it can be said that the topics are built on top of the previous years. For example, the topics of force, pressure, and motion are included in the sixth standard; the topics of ideas of force and frictional force are included in the seventh and eighth standard. This concentric curriculum is not seen with SSC syllabuses which are generally content based. Most of the parents prefer the CBSE as it is more helpful when taking competitive and entrance examinations. Unlike the SSC schools, the CBSE schools teach English in a functional way, and the teaching is more oriented for communication. If your brother is concerned with his son's education then rather than changing his board ask him to change his school for his betterment. You can check out Shiv Nadar School which is a cbse school, they’ve had a brilliant first year from what my brother tells me (he put his daughter there in the first year). He transferred his child in class 4 and her transformation has been nothing short of magical! She’s so much more confident and curious, she’s used to shy away from asking questions but is bursting with them now. What’s more she loves going to school to school so much that I worry they aren’t working her hard enough! I really recommend giving this school a closer look. www.shivnadarschool.edu.in
CBSE SyllabusAlmost all schools in India like Kendriya Vidyalaya as well as the Jawahar N Vidyalayas in addition to other private school in the Delhi NCT are affiliated to the CBSE syllabus. The complete syllabus is separated into units. Each unit is then allotted a number of periods that are necessary to cover the portions of an academic year. The weightage marks thus got will be added to the score of the final exams. By this method, the students and the teacher would be able to plan the study of the variety of divisions of the syllabus correctly and efficiently. It is an autonomous body.State SyllabusThe state syllabus is dependent on the government of that particular State. For each state, a separate education board would be available. The syllabus would then be decided by them as per the normal standards. The mode of instruction of this type of study will include English as well as the regional language.Key Differentiators between CBSE and State SyllabusWhile the CBSE syllabus offers education in a more scientific method, the state syllabus gives more importance to practical implication of related subjects. Another main differentiator amid the two is that, the former is considered much better than the latter. Students of the CBSE have an advantage of the State as the syllabus of the CBSE will be the same all over the nation. In case the students transfer from one state to another, the transition will be marginally easier for them. This would not be similar in case of the State syllabus students. It would be difficult for some to adjust to the syllabus of another Government school.(M)

You need a total of 25% in every subject.
A fraction is another way from writing division. You can write Number A divided by Number B as Number A/Number B. This way of writing allows one way of writing numbers that are not whole numbers. They fully replace the division sign in algebra, because the rules that apply to them are much easier to handle than expressions with division signs.
