simple ideas-are those which have only one note in their comprehension,e g., the idea of being, entity, reality, something or anything

compound ideas- are those which have more than one note in their comprehension. the idea of man (since the idea, man, although only a single essence represented by it, but) has more than one essential note in its comprehension, namely; substance, material, (or bodily), living, sentient, and rational.

concrete ideas-are those which represent somthing as a subject together with its determinant. the idea "man" (becase it represents something with the determinant "humanity")

abstract ideas- are ideas which represent a determinant which ie separated from a subject. piety, objectivity, whiteness, bodiliness.all these ideas represent their respective determinants which are separateor not specifically or concretely assigned or identified to a particularsubject. hece, we may say, who's going to exercise piety? or, where or what is objectivity, whiteness, bodiliness?
