We all have a free will. This was why Jesus told us to 'seek first God's Kingdom', at Why would he say to 'seek God and His righteousness', if our lives were 'preordained'? Matthew 6:33-- "Keep on, then, seeking first the kingdom and his righteousness, and all these [other] things will be added to YOU".

There is no preordination of individuals. If that were the case, why get out of bed? Why try to do things in the manner that Jesus taught, if you are preordained and have no choice in your future. People don't like to hear that their Pastor is wrong, but Preordination is a pagan philosophy. God promises all who do His will will be rewarded by Him, but they must be doing His will, not their own: Matthew7:21-22,23-- "Not everyone saying to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will. Many will say to me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?' And yet then I will confess to them: I never knew YOU! Get away from me, YOU workers of lawlessness.

We need to do God's will, along with having faith in the sacrifice that His son, Jesus Christ made for us. Yes, a child could have 'not been here' if different choices were made. Just remember, we do have choices.
