By definition, a "normal" IQ is 100. Any good IQ test is calibrated for age, education, cultural differences, language, and other variables, so a teenager with an IQ of 115-120 would be considered a little above average. On the other hand, it isn't so much what one's IQ is that matters, it's how hard one works and applies oneself that counts. There are many people with high IQs who have never amounted to much, just as there are many people with "average" IQs who have made great contributions to mankind.
