Technically no one really knows were the garden of Eden is. it is said no one ever would.

Answer:

The Garden of Eden is gone... along with the original topography of the earth, which was altered by the flood of Noah's generation. Speculation abounds, however, as to anyone's preference where they would like it to have been located.

The one I like is due to the seemingly "warm spot" in God's heart for Jerusalem... the focal point of The Bible, a Mideastern book, that looks out upon and views the world from the perspective of that city.

It was in the Garden of Eden where God chose to plant the "Tree of Life." This tree remained extant upon the earth until the flood, protected from access of mankind by Cherubim with swinging flaming swords [ I'm reminded of Jedi laser swords :-) ]. At any rate... following the flood... the Tree of Life disappeared from the face of the earth... along with much of the face of the earth, now covered by the oceans.

Yet, prophecy rediscovers it alive and well and planted in the Holy City, New Jerusalem, following the re-make of the earth at the end of God's plan.

The Holy City, New Jerusalem descends from heaven onto the new earth with God the Father, throne and all. Then, He, His Firstborn Son, Jesus Christ, and all of His innumerable Children who were redeemed and received Eternal Life after Judgment Day... live happily ever after.

"...I John saw the Holy City, New Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven... behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God." (Rev.21:2-3)

The reader is then given a prophetic guided tour of New Jerusalem, where we discover:

"...the angel showed me the river of the Water of Life... flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the great street of the City. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the Tree are for the healing of the nations... The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the City, and His servants will serve Him. They will see His face, and His Name will be on their foreheads." (Rev.22:1-4 NIV)

Due to this detailed prophetic tour of the Holy City, New Jerusalem, where the Tree of Life will one day reappear on the earth... it's a somewhat informed and calculated guess that the Garden of Eden may have been located in the beginning at the earth's longitudinal and latitudinal coordinates of Jerusalem.
