I think Amanda (which is a beautiful name, by the way) could be a "girly" or "tomboy" name. In-fact, there are some famous Amandas who showcase this, such as Amanda Nunes and Amanda Perez (who have tomboyish styles) and Amanda Holden and Amanda Seyfried (who have girly styles). In my opinion, Amanda is one of those few names that could ”suit” many different personalities. It's feminine yet not glitzy. There are also lots of cute nicknames, like Ama, Amy, Anda, Andy, Manda, Mandi, Manny, etc.
Oh, dude, yeah, totally! It's like how Ben is a nickname for Benjamin, you know? So, Amy can totally be a nickname for Amanda. It's like a fun little nickname evolution game we play with names. Cool, right?
