in terms of paint, black technically does not exist (black will always be a very dark something else, usually blue). in terms of light- black is the absence of light. And since you need at least a tiny bit of light to have color, black is also the absence of color.
The opposite of black (nothingness) is white (all the colors of light in one). So if you mix white and black. you will have grey. Grey is a shade of black.
You can also reason that you can add white to any color to change its shade. white and black is grey. So grey is a shade of black.
"The world is not black and white. We live in shades of grey."
A weird shade of black is produced:
Green and red physical colour create black or brown if unequal colours amounts are used. Green and red light colour creates yellow light.
orange, black, magenta, navy blue, peach
Black would be no colours. the way we see things, is that light bounces off a surface, and into our eyes. The colour of the surface decides the colour of the light that is bounced into our eyes, and allows us to tell what colour it is. If there either isn't any light, or nothing that bounces in our direction, then we'll see the absence of light as black.
Because the colour of a "negative wire casing" is black, hence the reason why negative numbers were written in this colour :)
When white is mixed with any colour, the resut will always be a light shade of the original colour. Therefore when white is mixed with black, the resulting colour is grey.
Black is a shade, not a color. Black is the absence of light or color, so it is considered a shade rather than a color.
You can do the shade by adding black little by little
It is not a shade, it is a colour.
Any shade of grey. I'd say possibly Black or brown as the other main colour.
ohhh this is easy :) Its a personal question which means even a three year old could answer it yayy . My favorite colour is Red but if it was a shade then i would say black because black is not a colour it is a shade.
Hot pink usually.
mine is black and red
Black is obvious, of course. Any shade of gray would be nice. A tweed that includes both black and pink would be perfect.
Black technically is the complete absence of colour, however, when artists are painting pictures with dark shadows in them, we do not use black to achieve these shadows. Instead we admix the complementary colour to the base colour. This results in a very dark "black". I would suppose that there would therefore be any number of "shades" of black.
A shade is a colour after you have added a bit of black and a tint is a colour after you have added a bit of white Hope this helps !!
