Beaches, Marshes, and Islands make up coastal landforms. Land off of the itercoastal waterways also are considered coastal. These landforms can be sand, clay, rock etc.. making up the coastal plains and even mountains and cliff formations.

A specific example is in Genesis 13 when Abrahm and Lot separate. Genesis 13:10 states, "Lot looked up and saw that the whole plain of the Jordon was well watered, like the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt, toward Zoar." There are many more passages including the transfiguration recorded in Matthew 17 which speak of landforms (in this case a mountain).
