You are referring to the mintmark, which signifies where the coin was minted. A "D" means Denver, and "S" means San Francisco, and no mintmark at all means Philadelphia. Other than the cent, other denominations have, since 1980 (and also the 1979 dollar coin and the 1942-1945 nickels), represented Philadelphia with a "P".
Check that date again. There was no United States in the year 1111. The only penny that might have been minted that year was the British penny under the reign of King Henry I.
It means the coin was struck in San Francisco. D = Denver No letter = Philadelphia (all other denominations since 1980 use P, though)
SavingsIf you start with $0.00 and save a penny daily, you will have saved $3.65 in one year (or $3.66 in a leap year).
It depends on what the date is. Remember, unlike other coins minted in Philadelphia since 1980, ALL cents minted there since pennies were first made in 1793 don't have mint marks. If you're in the western US most cents there come from the Denver mint and have a small D, but from the Mississippi eastward the majority are from Philadelphia and have no mint marks.
if its does not have a mint stamp it was minted in philly

It's the year that the coin was minted. If you look under the date you can tell where it was minted, too: "D" = Denver Mint "S" = San Francisco No letter = Philadelphia
A Lincoln cent without a mintmark was struck at the Philadelphia Mint. The Mint does not use "P" mintmarks on penny's.
MY best guess would have to be a 1943 copper penny. But a little more specific question would be helpful. Small cent or large cent??
They made more than a billion of them that year. It's worth one cent.
The Penny Black was invented in the year 1840 in memory of QUEEN VICTORIA
To find the year of a small utility trailer with a VIN, a person will want to look at the 8th letter in the sequence. This letter will give the year when the trailer was made.
That really depends in what country and what year the penny was minted.
A very common coin, from 10 cents to $1.00 for a average coin.
you can find one in sunyshore city and in the underground
