It depends on the test. Most IQ tests given in schools are normalized for age, so the average score for a 12-year-old is 100, though gender, ethnicity, and class can affect scores. Children scoring below 80 or above 120 may qualify as special needs.
The average IQ score for a 12 year old is 100. Then again, the average IQ score for all age groups are 100, by definition.
IQ is not based upon age. A persons IQ doesn't even change very much through out life, only about 5 IQ points at the most. Therefore asking the IQ of a twelve year old is not a very good question. The average IQ is about 100 though. To find out the exact IQ of a certain person they would have to take an IQ test.
Your IQ does not reflect your age.
I am a 13 year old girl (Gender should not matter) and my IQ is 110. I know you should not have an IQ score of over 160, which is Albert Einstein's IQ. :) Hope this helped :)
The normal IQ for a 5 year old should be no different to that of an adult. The test would simply be adjusted to suit a 5 year old.
no, and age doesnt matter for an IQ test
Yes
100 is baseline average for IQ, age does not matter.

It's not only ok- it's above average! The average IQ score is 100.

An IQ of 132 is very hood. For how old you are you get a different score. The average is 100 so if you get higher than 100 at a certain age it is good.
Yes, a 127 IQ is considered above average for a twelve-year-old. It indicates that the child has good reasoning abilities and problem-solving skills compared to their peers. However, IQ scores alone do not capture all aspects of intelligence, so it's important to consider a child's overall development and strengths.
Ideally, the IQ score is independent of the subject's age. 172 is a totally unbelievable IQ score for anybody; before it is accepted as fact, the test should probably be repeated. +++ Even if the figure was a misprint for 127, that would still be a high IQ BUT it is important to remember IQ is not everything. Standard IQ tests tend to be limited to testing skills with various numerical, lexical and pattern puzzles; and are not a reliable guide to the subject's learning ability or future academic results.
