I think that the Knowing God Personally books of Campus Crusade for Christ summarize the main priciples of The Bible pretty accurately. 1- "God loves you and created you to know Him personally." There are so many scriptures that discuss God's great plan for us. He had us in mind all along. (John 3:16, Ephesians 1, John 17:3) 2- "Man is sinful and separated from God, so we cannot know Him personally and experience His Love." We all sin, whether it be judgments, lust, anger, or murder. It is all the same in God's eyes, turning from the life He desires us to live. (Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23) 3- "Jesus Christ is God's only provision for man's sin. Through Him alone we can now God personally and experience God's love." Although we are sinners, God sent Jesus Christ so that we do not have to forever live in debt. We can find forgiveness and life in Him. (Romans 5:8, 1 Corinthians 15:3-6, John 14:6) 4- "We must individually receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord; then we can know God personally and experience His love." If we accept the life of our savior ad believe in Him, we are promised freedom from sin. (John 1:12, Ephesians 2:8,9, John 1:3-8) This is the prayer found within the booklet as an example of receiving Christ. "Lord Jesus, I want to know You personally. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive You as mySavior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of the throne of my life. Make me the kind of person You want me to be."ANSWER #2 Most Christian belief systems accept that one can lead a good life by adhering to the Ten Commandments which were given to Moses by God Himself when Moses ascended Mount Zion. In addition one may also accept the teachings of the Lord Jesus recorded in the New Testament Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John and The Acts of the apostles. Much has been said about the teachings of Jesus. However, Jesus' teachings may be simplified by saying that one can find Inner Peace by loving oneself first which will lead to the love of all mankind. Unless one loves oneself, one cannot expect others to love one in return. I will add my personal comment: The Kingdom of God is within us and all around us.

What is an example of a principle?

When God speaks in the Scripture, He is speaking to everyone who will hear. Men have developed commentaries or 'theologic principles' to help explain various parts of Scripture - as their interpretation of it or exegesis. This is true for the Hebrew Bible (Talmud) and the Christian Bible with its Commentaries like the 'dispensation principles or the context principles.'

Do Catholics follow the Bible principles?

Catholic AnswerInteresting question, the obvious question that has to be asked is "what are Bible principles?" But, the obvious answer is that since the Catholic Church wrote the Bible, decided which books comprised the Bible, closed the canon, and preserved and copied the Bible for nearly two millennium, then whatever the principles are, obviously they came from the Catholic Church. .Now, if you are asking if the average Catholic-in-the-pew follows Bible principles, well then that brings up two different answers. First of all, all men are sinners, so no one is following Christian principles perfectly, save Our Blessed Lord, and His Mother. Second of all, if you believe that "Bible principles" are those principles followed by protestants, or any non-Catholic Christian, then you have a real problem. The Christian Church was based on Christ who founded His Church on St. Peter (please read St. Matthew's Gospel 16:17-19). As I said above, the Church wrote the New Testament, and determined which books made up the Bible and closed the canon at the Council of Rome in AD 382 (see link below). The Christian Church IS NOT BIBLE BASED, THE BIBLE IS CHURCH BASED. When Martin Luther started his own religion, he had to come up with something new, as Our Blessed Lord only - by His Own Sworn Testimony - started ONE Church and guaranteed that the Holy Spirit would guide it until the end of time. Catholics are trying to follow Our Blessed Lord, Jesus Christ. Some of the "principles" that He taught were put into the Bible as part of the Catholic Church's preaching, but not all of them..So, now you have a bunch of non-Catholic religions that are "Bible-based" but 1) Christianity is NOT based on a book, and 2) the Bible that non-Catholic faiths use is a mutilated Scripture that Martin Luther made up (or re-wrote) according to his own beliefs..In other words, Catholics follow Bible principles, but only because Bible principles follow Catholic teaching.

Can a Catholic woman marry a Jehovah's Witness if she agrees to follow Bible principles?

It is up to both of you. But the degree that a Catholic follows Bible prionciples may not be the same as the one that a Jehovah's Witness(J.W.) follows Bible principle. J.W. consider following God's word as their life. Thus they are advised to consider Bible principle, found in 2 Corinthian 6:14 "Do not become unevenly yoked with unbelievers" seriously. It's advised that a J.W. doesn't get married to an unbeliever. but there are cases where JWs marry outside. to "follow Bible principles" in the sense of what a J.W. believes or what she believes the Bible principles to be? remember that J.W.s believe in a lot of things which may for her seem to unnecessary. so she should be made aware of what the Bible principles are. Remember no holidays, birthdays and so on. and also too, if she has no intention of converting she should make it clear to her husband, as he will try to get her to start a Bible Study and so on. just make sure, that both of you are sure that this is what you really want.
