The arrival of Messiah was prophesied and fulfilled in Jesus (Luke 1:32, 33; 2:10-14)(John 1:17)and the Mosaic Law prefigured his coming(Colossians 2:16, 17; Hebrews 10:1) . According to the scriptures, he lived his life perfectly and is the only approved way to approach God ( John 14:6)(John 1:18)(John 8:23, 24) (Matthew 7:21-23). Jesus was sent by God to preach the truth of God's word (John 8:42-47)(Matthew 7:24-27)(John 7:28-29), set a perfect example for all to copy(Luke 9:23)(1 Peter 2:21), and teach people about God's Kingdom (Luke 4:43)(John 18:37)(Acts 10:34-43)(Acts 2:38)(Acts 3:19)(Matthew 11:1)(Mark 6:12).
Paul preached that Jesus was the son of God (Acts 9:20) and that it was through Jesus that God would draw people to himself (2 Timothy 2:8-13)(2 Timothy 4:1-5)(1 Peter 3:21-22) and set up his Kingdom(Ephesians 1:8-10) (1 Corinthians 15:20-28)(Daniel 2:44). Mark 1:1 describes itself as "the beginning of good news about Jesus Christ", pointing out that Jesus primary interest was preaching the 'good news of God'(Mark 1:14), and directing his disciples to do the same (Matthew 4:23)(Matthew 28:19+20/Acts 1:8)(Matthew 24:14)(Mark 3:13-15 /Luke 8:1)since it was by this means that God would bring a final peace to this earth(Psalms 37:11+29 / Matthew 5:5).
