God creates all things and man. God places man in a 'garden' and man and God have a friendly relationship. Man disobeys God and the relationship is broken. All people born from this time on have a broken relationship with God. God plans to restore that relationship and chooses a people who will be His representatives on earth. The majority of the Bible is about this nation and how God deals with them and the other surrounding nations. God's chosen nation fails in it's job. Then God himself comes to earth in the form of a man to be a sacrifice for man's disobedience and so makes a way for people to restore their relationship with God.
