Mark 14: 35-36 (ESV)
"And going a little father, he fell to the ground and prayed that if it were possible, the hour might pass from him. And he said, 'ABBA, Father, all things are possible for you. Remove this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will."
Now study what that "cup" is, has nothing to do with His physical death.
When he was in the Garden of Gethsemane. Luke 22:39-44
"Pray without ceasing." is 1 Thessalonians 5:17, written by the Apostle Paul.
It is simply the way we Christians refer to God when we pray, I usually say Dear Heavenly father and so on. The Lords prayer was Jesus teaching us how to pray, we say God is the father, Jesus the son and then there's the holy spirit. So God is our father in Heaven
God. Jesus is the intercessor. We pray in the name of Jesus under the unction (or leading) of the Holy Spirit to God the Father. they is only one god and he answers your prayer jesus was the ways in his words is what we are to live by so live by what jesus say as he was not god his is the word
The Bible does not say exactly how Jesus prays for us. However, the very notion of Jesus praying seems to go against the concept of the Holy Trinity, which holds that Jesus is of one substance with God. On this definition, it would seem entirely redundant for Jesus ever to have prayed.
The Garden of Gethsemane, on the Mount of Olives near Jerusalem, was the place where Jesus and the Disciples went following the Last Supper on Maundy Thursday. Matthew 26:36 and Mark 14:32 tell of Jesus asking the Disciples to watch and pray while he went aside to pray alone. It was also in Gethsemane where the texts say Judas led solders for Christ's betrayal and arrest.
When he was in the Garden of Gethsemane. Luke 22:39-44
no where, its to pray in the name of Jesus
The Garden of Eden is where the first man and woman, Adam and Eve, lived after their creation. There is no movie depicting the life of Jesus from the Garden of Eden through his crucifixion. But if you mean to ask from the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus prayed before arrested until crucifixion, I would say Mel Gibson's "The Passion of the Christ".
The Bible mentions a serpent in the Garden of Eden but not in the Garden of Gethsemane. Gethsemane was where Jesus was praying shortly before he was arrested. Many believe that Satan's hour is 3am. There are many personal beliefs that I have to believe that Jesus was literally fighting off Satan's temptations to join his evil plan and make the Son of God disobey and sin against His father. The Bible says that Jesus was sweating blood and that the disciples couldn't stay awake. The Bible also says that Jesus prayed for an hour (let's say 3am) came to check on them and prayed for another hour before he was led away by Judas and the officers that arrested him. Around this hour the cock crowed which a rooster would normally crow right before the sun comes up. Many people ask why Jesus was praying and that He wanted to get out of dying on the cross for all mankind's sin, but my personal belief is that He was spiritually fighting off Satan and all his demons at this point in time therefore there was a serpent in the garden of gethsemane; the same serpent that was in the garden of eden, Satan himself.
A:On the evening before the crucifixion, the synoptic gospels have Jesus praying in the Garden of Gethsemene that God would take the cup (his destiny) from him. John's Gospel differs by simply having Jesus say a triumphant prayer before reaching the Garden, saying that his time had come.
Gethsemane - I Only Want to Say - was created in 1971.
Jiisusimut qinusassaagut?
Yes when the disciples asked Jesus to teach them to pray . He then taught them the OUR FATHER.
A:The story of Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemene developed as it apssed from gospel account to gospel account. The first, Mark's Gospel, simply has Jesus pray to God that he might be spared his destiny, but if that be God's will he would do his will. Here there is no mention of Jesus sweating. This is taken up by Matthew, again with no mention of Jesus sweating. Luke 22:44 elaborates on the earlier account, saying that Jesus was in such agony that his sweat was like great drops of blood.Of course, it could be that the authors of Mark and Matthew simply failed to mention this small detail, but then we find that John's Gospel reverses the entire story. In this gospel, Jesus does not pray in the Garden of Gethsemene and does not ask God to be spared from crucifixion but does say a triumphant prayer to God (John 17:1-26) saying that his time had come, before reaching the Garden (John 18:1). John provides no room for Jesus to suffer before (or even during) his crucifixion.Luke's account adds a nice dramatic touch to the story of the Garden of Gethsemene, but we must remember that the author was not present and that Jesus was alone, with just Peter, James and John asleep a stone's throw away. We know the author of John's Gospel knew the story in Luke, but he clearly did not believe it.
"Pray without ceasing." is 1 Thessalonians 5:17, written by the Apostle Paul.
You will say that you accept him as your lord and savior. You will pray to him every day and night. Also, when you pray to him, don't act like you mean it, just mean it.
