Precision means the quality of being precise. What time did the event happen? Sometime in the evening. Can you state that with more precision? About six-thirty in the evening. Can you state it with even more precision than that? Alright, it was six thirty-two and seventeen point three two five seconds.

Tenacity means the quality of being tenacious, of holding on. It can be both literal and figurative. The tenacity of the dog's bite is so great that the person who is bitten can pick the dog up by his teeth and shake him, and he will not let go. Or more figuratively, Edison's tenacity in trying to create a working light bulb is shown by the number of different filaments he unsuccessfully tested before finding one that worked.

What does precision mean in maths terms?

In mathematics, the word precision is used to describe the total number of digits (the number of significant figures) used in a number to approximate another number. For example, given a number 145.37823 the number 145 approximates the previous number with a precision of 3, and 145.3782 approximates it with a precision of 7. In other words, in maths, at least arithmetically speaking, precision is just another word for significant figures. In statistics, precision is usually a measurement of how well a measurement system gives consistent results, and is the reciprocal of variance.

What one what words means the degree to which a measurement is precise and reliable is it variable or accuracy or parameter or constant?

-- None of those words relates to "precise". -- "Accuracy" relates to "reliable". -- "Precision" and "accuracy" are two different things. -- "Precise" does not mean "reliable".

What is tenacity in relation to metal?

Tenacity in relation to metal refers to its ability to resist breaking, snapping, or deforming under stress. It encompasses the metal's toughness and ductility, indicating how well it can endure impact and strain without failing. Metals with high tenacity can absorb energy and undergo significant deformation before breaking, making them suitable for applications requiring durability and strength.
