V: Five
CV: A hundred and five
VCV: No such thing. Really, that would mean five less than 100 which would be 95, but then plus five, which would be 100, more clearly written as C.
The term CV is an acronym for Curriculum Vitae.
That would be 105. C represents the figure 100, and the V stands for the number 5. The commonest ones are:- I = 1 V = 5 X = 10 L = 50 C = 100 D = 500 M = 1000
Roman Numerals: I=1 V=5 X=10 L=50 C=100 Therefore: XXVI= 26 (XX=20, VI=5) CXLII=142 (C=100, XL=40, II=2) LVIII=58 (L=50, VIII=8) CV=105 (C=100, V=5)
MMMMDCCCC (4900) or CV (5000-100) with a horizontal cross bar placed above the V to denote multiplication by a thousand.
V=5 C = 100 so VC is 5 before a 100 or "95". CV would be 105
