I dont know bible, but I have tried to understand to get the essence of it.
Our thoughts are like clouds, sun, moon and the stars. They are sheeps when we surrender our-self to god (Jesus), the shepherd jesus takes them in right direction.
We all have good thoughts, bad thoughts, innovative thoughts and divine thoughts which are the metaphor for the sun, moon, stars in the sky called mind (Matthew). While the negative thoughts are to be taken as the unwelcomed guests in our sky which do not belong to us.
Reading a bible is not effective unless you absorb the purpose of sacrifices that Jesus bore for mankind, us.
