When it says "Focus beyond it," all you have to do is cross your eyes a little bit, or just pretend that you can see the wall behind the TV. Don't stare at any of the dots, or the TV, if you're doing it right, then it will seem like you can see the whole picture at once! When you feel like you are, pull the card back really slowly. The "M" will seem like it's popping out at you!
