Fro all age-groups the average is 100. If a five-year old and a fifty-year old both have IQs of 100 then they are both scoring average for their ages.

The testing and scoring allows for the age of the person to be considered. SO, if the five-year old and the fifty-year old both do the same test, they would need to get different numbers of questions right to both score 100..... the fifty0year old is expected to do better than the five-year old.
