4*8
Area of a sheet of plywood = 4' x 8' = 32. 1700ft2/32ft2 = 53.125 54 sheets of 4' x 8' plywood would be needed to cover 1700ft2.
25 lbs.
Generally plywood comes in a 4' x 8' sheet which is 24 square feet...meaning 1 sheet is all you need for 18 square ft.
A half-inch 4'x8' sheet of plywood typically weighs between 30 to 40 pounds, depending on the type of plywood and its moisture content. Standard plywood, such as fir or pine, tends to be on the lighter end, while heavier types, like oak, may weigh more. Always check the manufacturer's specifications for the most accurate weight.
Reading these answers makes me really concerned for the education in our country. Especially considering the “best answer” is absolutely wrong. A 4x8 sheet from corner to corner is a right triangle. If you are trying to find the hypotenuse aka corner to corner you use the Pythagorean theorem. A2 x B2 = C2 the “2” is squared not sure how to get the little 2 on my phone. So (48”x48”) + (96”x96”) = C2 2304 + 9216 = C2 11520 = C2 Just have to now find the sq root of 11520. Not going to go into the manual instructions for that but it comes out to 107.33….. or 107 11/32“ roughly. How anyone can comprehend that you can go corner to corner on a 4x8 (48x96) sheet of plywood and get a lesser number even without understanding the above calculations is beyond me.
Yes, one can you put A 4 x 8 sheet of plywood in a Ford Flex.

To calculate the area of a sheet of plywood, multiply its width by its length. For a sheet measuring 4 feet wide and 12 feet long, the area is 4 feet × 12 feet = 48 square feet. Therefore, there are 48 square feet in that sheet of plywood.

20-25 pounds per sheet, per 1/4" of thickness. In other words, about 25 pounds for a sheet of 1/4, about 50 pounds for a sheet of 1/2.
The weight of lauan plywood can vary depending on its thickness and size. On average, a 4'x8' sheet of 1/4" lauan plywood weighs around 22-26 pounds, while a 4'x8' sheet of 3/4" lauan plywood can weigh approximately 60-70 pounds.
