The only way to end a horrible life is to end horrible thoughts. I would say get in tune with your emotions. Write them out. Don't hold them in! Go to counseling if you have to. It's not far-fetched. It works! Face them and don't run from them. Get to the bottom of the issue. We already know so much about ourselves, but there are things we have to yet to find out about ourselves. Get to what is making you feel that your life is so horrible and that you need to end your life. When you tap into that pain and that struggle and those horrible thoughts, you will feel better. You will feel like a huge weight is lifted off of your shoulders. You will understand yourself, and there is nothing better than understanding yourself fully. When that happens, you can love yourself, and someone else can understand you and LOVE you, but it starts within. You gotta learn to understand and love yourself! When you tap into those horrible thoughts, you can learn to get rid of the bad habit of thinking on those horrible thoughts and ideas. We know so much about ourselves, but what we don't know that it's usually those embedded beliefs that are within us and that we don't know about yet that is running our lives. We run our lives according to those unknown thoughts and ideas. When we find out about those, get to the root of them, we can work on getting rid of the bad, so that the good can shine from within us. I just learned this today. I was feeling so down. Felt like my life was going nowhere. Family problems, love life problems. I felt like the world was tumbling down on me. I started to blame the world, but the bravest thing and most beautiful thing is realizing that it isn't the world or some guy or some family member; IT'S US! We are the ones who have power over ourselves, the power to uproot, restore, and change. Taking your life is not the way to end your horrible life. It's realizing that your life isn't all that horrible, but it's a learning process to make you stronger, better. To end that horrible life, make it better.

I would say neither one. Sikes was a major part of the horrible life that Oliver Twist lived and when he died at the end of the book, that was a great place for not only his life to end, but for his character as well.
basically its this guy that at first talks about how horrible his life is and then he talks about how wonderful it is and how he lives in a castle and at the end it ends up that the wonderful life was a daydream and the castle was in the sky.

Allen has no belief in an after-life, and, either for real or as part of his act, does not want his life to end. He has often compared his life to a diner at a restaurant, who complains that all of the food served there is horrible, but that the worst thing about the place is that the portions are so small.
