Although "books" are mentioned numerous times, there is no "library" mentioned in The Bible. According to the Amplified Bible (Zondervan), Kiriath-sepher in Judges 1:11, is called the city of books and scribes. See also Ecclesiastes 12:12 and John 21:25.

However, sometimes the Bible is referred to as a library of 66 books. The books are often divided into chapters, which contain verses. This feature was added afterward to make it easier to locate portions of the Scriptures.
