The first four books are the gospels. These are writings about the birth life and death of Jesus. Each gospel gives a different portrait of Christ. Matthew - the King, Mark - the servant, Luke - the perfect man, John - the son of God.
After the gospels is the book of Acts where we see the birth and growth of the church.
In the other books we see the Church established and persecuted.
