The "P" Mint mark was not used on half dollars until 1980, it's only a half dollar so spend it.
It's not JFK, it's Ben Franklin and the value is about $12.00 just for the silver. NOTE: JFK appeared in 1964 for the first time on the half dollar
Check that coin again. Kennedy wasn't put on the half dollar until 1964.
