Nowadays 2014 converted into Roman numerals is considered to be MMXIV but the ancient Romans probably wrote it out quite differently
No because in todays modern notation of Roman numerals 2014 is MMXIV But the ancient Romans would have chose MMXIIII because they would never ever write out 4 as IV as it was seen to be an insult to their greatest of gods Jupiter whose name in Latin begins with IV thus reducing his name to a number rather than a god.
