The Bible is giving the account of Creation. As God is the creator He is stating that He created each species after its own kind. There is no evolution. There is no generic blending. There is no cross breeding of different kinds. The confirmation is explaining about the inerrancy of creation of the animals and plants. God created. The word Genesis means origin. Genesis 1 to 11 explains the beginnings of many things which in turn helps us understand the message of the whole Bible and indeed life itself. It is like a foundation. Some of the origins accounted are as follows -

1. The Universe and all its components.

2. Life.

3. Man.

4. Marriage.

5. Evil.

6. Language.

7. Government.

8. Nations and cultures.

9. Religion.

Every New Testament author refers at some time to events or relevant teachings in Genesis 1 to 11. They knew it as a historical and authoritative document. Jesus referred to it on at least six occasions. It demonstrates why He had to come and die for mankind and contains the first promise of His coming. Genesis 1 to 11 establishes God as the originator of all and thus the one to whom all are accountable. The central message of the New Testament does not make sense without it.
