Another document that records sayings attributed to Jesus is the hypothetical 'Q' document. This is referred to as a hypothetical document because no copy of it now exists. However scholars are confident that Q once existed and have even assembled the text it would have once contained, by comparing the Gospels of Matthew and Luke. The date of Q is uncertain, but it may be older than Mark's Gospel.
