The scrolls were probably written on papyrus. The Bible that we know of is just paper. It's very thin paper because of how large the Bible is. There is nothing else special about the material other than how thin it is.
The Bible was written most likely on Papyrus paper. This is paper make from a special Papyrus plant. When they copied the Bible to make more of it, it was a very long task. They would have a room full of scribes with paper and ink in in front of them. A priest would stand in front of them and read from the Bible, one word at a time, and then he would repeat the word.The scribe would copy the word onto his paper. If a scribe messed up just barely, they would burn everything they had already copied, and completely restart. It was very important to them.

I didn't know you COULD, except maybe by gathering a billion popsicle sticks, having bible-stock paper made out of them and printing the Bible on the paper.
I have several different translations of the bible and I can find nowhere the word "grouse". But new translations are coming out all the time, and some not worth the paper they are written on and might have that word in their book.
