In the King James version

the phrase - new year - does not appear at all.

the word - new - appears in the same verse as the word - year - in the following 2 verses, but never to convey the meaning of "a new year".

  • Deu 24:5 When a man hath taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war, neither shall he be charged with any business: but he shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer up his wife which he hath taken.
  • 2 Chr 8:13 Even after a certain rate every day, offering according to the commandment of Moses, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts, three times in the year, even in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles.
