Priscilla and Aquila, in ANY Bible, were a 1st century Christian married couple, who were very active in their preaching ministry (Acts 18:18-19) and good friends with the Apostle Paul, supporting themselves by tent making (Acts 18:2+3), and encouraging Paul in his work(Romans 16:3-4)(1 Corinthians 16:19)(2 Timothy 4:19). At one point, they heard an eloquent speaker named Apollos giving a moving talk about the Messiah at a synagogue in Ephesus. He was a fine speaker, but was not up to date on his information about Jesus, only being familiar with the 'baptism of John' (John the Baptizer). Priscilla and Aquila took Apollos into their company, and helped him to increase his knowledge about Jesus so he could provide more accurate information in his talks.(Acts 18:24-26) .
