The most famous verse of the Bible is found in Exodus 3 verses 13-14. Here Moses asks God his name - the name of the God who sent him to be the leader of the Israelites. God replies "I AM WHO I AM. Tell the Israeilites I AM has sent me to you." The Hebrew for I AM is "Ya Weh". However, in most Bibles, after this verse, the name of God is not uttered as it is deemed to the Jews as too holy. Instead they refer to God as, eg, 'Adonai' which is translated in modern Bibles as 'Lord', but written with a large capital 'L' and small capitals 'ORD'.
Ptolemy II (called Philadelphus, the king of Egypt, 285-247 BC) wished to have a translation of the Jewish law for his famous library in Alexandria. At his request the high priest Eleazar of Jerusalem sent 72 men, 6 from each tribe, to Egypt with a scroll of the Law.
Jehovah or rather Yahweh is not an English word meaning - the one that IS or the self-Existent, it is impossible to find an English word that would work in every context, that is where word study can become a source of great blessing to the diligent student. He is the great I AM -And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. Exodus 3:14

Scotland has never ceased to have a king (or more aptly, regent). Its present monarch is Queen Elizabeth, who is also monarch of England and Wales. She may reside in England, but her heritage is German and Scottish.
Well the it depends on how long the travel distance is from England to Australia and where about in Australia is it being sent to !
Beecher bibles were a shipment of rifles sent by abolitionist preacher Henry Ward Beecher to anti-slavery settlers in Kansas in the 1850s to help defend themselves against pro-slavery forces in the area. The rifles were disguised as Bibles to avoid detection by pro-slavery supporters.
The word "sent" in French can be translated as "envoyé".

Henry wanted Mary betrothed to his son Edward so that Scotland and England would ruled by one monarch. He didn't get his way then and attacked Scotland in the "Rough Wooing". It back fired on Henry when Mary's mother sent her to France to be married to the Dauphin. It was Mary's son, James, who eventually fulfilled Henry's dream, when he became king of both Scotland and England at Elizabeth I's death.
they faced a problem of famine so it ment there was not enough food to go around so people were starving to death and also scotland was not being run properly because their king james V1 was king of Scotland and England and he lived in London so if the scots wished to pass a law they would have to sent it to London for approval
It was sent directly to the King of England.
I had a problem because i sent a letter and after 2 weeks I only got a reply but the person I wrote to replied straight away after she got the letter from me, but I forgot that I sent the letter on a friday afternoon and then on the weekend many people sent their letters and on sunday the post office was (and always is) closed so it took mine to get there about 6 days because there was also a bank holiday on monday ;D And then the same happened to her, except hers got to me in 5 days so not even 2 weeks ;) 11 days, But if you sent it on Monday morning it would probably got to the person on wednesday if not thursday, and if the person sent you the letter back on friday it would get to you on a monday, (wthout any bank holidays) so a week! ==================================== [Edit] A letter posted on Monday in Scotland using first class post should reach its destination in England the next day. I have often sent a letter first class by the last collection in Scotland (at c. 5.15pm) and it has reached its recipient in England the very next day. A letter sent by second class post might take a day or two longer than this.
