What do you suppose causes most of the world's problems? The want of money. People are will to do anything for money. Think it over.
Money in itself is not evil. It can be used to do many good things with and it certainly buys food and pays the rent, but it is the evil that people do to get money that is the cause of evil.
No the bible says the greed for the money is the root of all evil.
Answer:In 1Timothy 6:10 we read "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows" (This reminds me of my mother-in-law trying to win the lottery for the past 3 years) So we see it's not money itself, but the love of money is the root of all evil. Why? Because it proports greediness and power. People have perverted justice, prostituted themselves, committed murder, betrayed others, and falsified the truth for the love of money. True Christians realize money is an important tool, however they do not get involved with that love for money.
Well it's not said by Jesus but one of his disciples, Timothy, said at 1 Timothy 6: 10 "For the love of money is a root of all sorts of injurious things, and by reaching out for this love some have been led astray from the faith." Here, it's not being said that money itself is evil, in fact in other parts of the Bible having money and saving it is said to be wise and a protection. The love of money (it being all you think of and you give up family, friends, following God's word properly, etc. to obtain it) is where the problem lies.
The Bible does not say anything about Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving was started by the Pilgrims/Indians, which was after the Bible was written.
The bible does not say anything about dreaming for Jesus.
No the bible says the greed for the money is the root of all evil.
money
b/c not all people use their money for evil. some use it to glorify god. and anyways your suposed to give 10% to the church every week. but the bible does say that money is the root of all evil
Not at all, many of the worlds misdeeds and evils have no connection to the greed for money. To add to the answer above the quote in the Bible says in the book of 1st Timmothy chapter 6 verse 10 "For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil" in this verse we can see that it is not "money" yet the love of money. To follow up on above bible quote - So one could say that love is also a root of evil.
No, the Bible does not say this.

Latin word order is usually very different from that in English. Literally the sentence means Greed [cupiditas] is [est] the root [radix] of evils [malorum]. This is usually translated more freely as: Money is the root of all evil. That translation, however, is clearly in error. The classic source of the latin phrase is The Pardoner's Tale from The Canterbury Tales: "Ad Thimotheum ... For I kan al by rote that I telle. My theme is alwey oon and evere was -. 'Radix malorum est Cupiditas.' ..." Specifically, Chaucer is refererring to 1 Timothy 6:10, "For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows." "Money" and "the love of money', that is to say, greed or cupidity, are quite different. It would be fairly nonsensical to say that money itself is the root of evil, but relatively uncontroversial to say that greed is.
Money. It is the root of all evil... I would say Marriage! Without it there would not be divorce.
Isaiah 5:20
Money is not bad, we must remember it does not have our name on it. But once a person is greedy he wants more and more , and the greed does not stop. people then want a lot more and families are broken.
Boiler Room... But I think it was Ben Affleck who said, Not Van Diesel.
