"In the Hebrew, the name Lucifer is translated from the Hebrew word "helel," which means brightness. This designation, referring to Lucifer, is the rendering of the "morning star" or "star of the morning" or "bright star" which is presented in Isaiah. "How you are fallen from heaven, O Day Star, son of Dawn! How you are cut down to the ground, you who laid the nations low! You said in your heart, 'I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit on the mount of assembly on the heights of Zaphon; I will ascend to the tops of the clouds, I will make myself like the Most High'" (Isaiah 14:12-14, NIV)."
The above passage refers to the king of Babylon, who laid the nations low. It talks of his pomp and splendour, how he had ruled the nations in anger, and his fate after his overthrow by the king of Persia. He had compared himself to the Morning Star (and was thus derisorily called 'Lucifer' - lucem ferre, which mean "light-bearer", a name for the dawn appearance of the planet Venus) and had thought that he would ascend into heaven and sit among the stars, but was now himself persecuted. He has become weak and like one of us; he will go to hell. Second Isaiah was talking in the context of his own times, not knowing the later Christian views on the Morning Star.
Never heard of that one; but of course it is impossible for Jesus, as God, created Lucifer.
jesus prayed every day. he prayed at 9 in the morning, noon, and sunset. he also always prayed all night before he preached
The bible does not say anything about dreaming for Jesus.
Jesus physical appearance is NOT recorded in the Bible.
Jesus' birth was mentioned 50 times in the bible.
No. Lucifer, son of the morningThis is the only verse in the bible that mentions Lucifer. Although most Christians consider Lucifer to be Satan (the devil), there is little biblical justification for doing so. In this verse "Lucifer" refers to the king of Babylon (Nebuchadrezzar?) and Lucifer (the light bearer) is also called the "son of the morning" or morning star. The only other person that is referred to in that way is Jesus (Rev.22:16Lucifer means the (shining one. Hebrew)(the bringer of dawn. Greek)(light bearer.Latin) as used in Isa 14:12 which is talking about how Satan himself was cast from heaven. The verse Rev 22:16 reads "'I, Jesus, sent my angel to bear witness to YOU people of these things for the congregations. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright morning star." So in conclusion lucifer does not mean good luck nor does it have any connection with the bright morning which Jesus is referred.
Who wanted to be exalted lucifer or Jesus
In Christian theology, Lucifer is often associated with the fallen angel Satan. According to the Bible, Jesus predates all creation as the Son of God and part of the Holy Trinity. Therefore, Jesus existed before Lucifer/Satan in this theological framework.
Jesus Christ existed before Lucifer was created, but Lucifer existed before Jesus was incarnated.
It was supposed to be Jesus. But the Dinosaurs took over.
Never heard of that one; but of course it is impossible for Jesus, as God, created Lucifer.
Yes he did, and still does.
In the bible Jesus is refered to as the lil iee of the valley the bright and morning star.
No. Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God the Father, not of Lucifer. You can learn more about what Mormons believe about Jesus Christ at the "Related Links" below.
They are both demons. Legion was/were referred to in the Bible in possession of a man that Jesus came across. He cast him/them out of this man. Belial is one supposedly one of the high-ranking lieutenants of Lucifer
Because back then you were not supposed to bury ciminals. (Jesus was not a criminal, but the Romans thought He was.) Besides, the Bible says it was the Sabbath Day, and you are not supposed to labor on that day.
Jesus was born probably around 4 BC. Lucifer better known as Satan or the devil, was never born, he was created at the begin of the world, he is an angel that rebelled against God.
