Drain oil
Remove the right hand side round speed control cover
Remove the small roller that the vertical arm acts on, you just spread the fork it sits in
Remove all bolts around the top cover, not the 4 nuts they hold the levers in place
Use a chain block and a lifting plate, which can bolt onto the seat bolts to lift the top cover directly up
Remove the pin holding the pto spline coupling together
Remove the bolts holding the pto cover and pull the pto shaft outwards
This should allow you to unbolt the pump and remove it
The hydraulic pump on a Massey Ferguson 383 tractor is typically located on the front of the engine, mounted to the timing cover. It is driven by the engine's crankshaft, which allows it to generate hydraulic pressure for the tractor's hydraulic system. To access it for maintenance or replacement, you may need to remove certain covers or components from the front of the engine.
With Bush and bearing replacement.
the impeller of the pump, discharges the water of a steam or air or electric driven pumps.
This varies from pump to pump because centrifugal pumps can be designed for various applications. The maximum height a pump can pump water depends on size of pipe/water column, friction, power available etc. This is often reffered to as the head of the pump. A water company would probably have some centrifugal pumps capable pumping to over 300m in a 30 inch main.
They fixed the replaced the raditor and it still leaks in front of the vehicle.
To change the hydraulic pump on a Massey Ferguson 245, first, ensure the tractor is turned off and disconnect the battery. Remove the hydraulic lines connected to the pump, taking care to catch any fluid that may spill. Unscrew the mounting bolts securing the pump, then carefully lift it out. Install the new pump by reversing the process, ensuring all connections are tight and fluid levels are checked before starting the tractor.
the diaphram in the fuel lift pump goes bad and leaks fuel into the engine
To remove the hydraulic pump from a Massey Ferguson 285 tractor, first ensure the tractor is turned off and properly secured. Drain the hydraulic fluid to avoid spills and disconnect the hydraulic lines from the pump. Then, remove any mounting bolts securing the pump to the tractor and gently pull the pump away from its housing. Be sure to consult the service manual for specific details and torque specifications related to your model.

To replace the fan belt on a Massey Ferguson 165, first, disconnect the battery and ensure the engine is cool. Loosen the alternator and water pump pulleys to relieve tension on the old belt, then remove it. Install the new belt by threading it around the pulleys, ensuring it sits correctly in the grooves, and then adjust the tension by repositioning the alternator or water pump before tightening the bolts. Finally, reconnect the battery and check the belt alignment and tension before starting the engine.
To locate the hydraulic pump on a Massey Ferguson 699, first, ensure the tractor is securely parked and the engine is off. The hydraulic pump is typically mounted on the left side of the tractor, driven by the engine. You may need to remove any covers or panels for better access. Consult the operator's manual for specific diagrams and details related to your model for precise identification.
To clean the fuel injector pump on a Massey Ferguson 230, first ensure the engine is off and cool. Disconnect the fuel lines, then remove the injector pump from the engine. Clean the exterior with a degreaser, and use a soft brush or cloth to remove debris from the inlet and outlet ports. Reassemble the pump and reconnect the fuel lines, ensuring all seals and gaskets are intact to prevent leaks.
To replace the injector pump in a Massey Ferguson 230 tractor, first, ensure the engine is cool and disconnect the battery. Remove the fuel lines and electrical connections from the old injector pump, then unbolt and remove the pump from the engine. Install the new injector pump by aligning it properly, securing it with bolts, and reconnecting the fuel lines and electrical connections. Finally, prime the fuel system and check for leaks before starting the engine.
To install the hydraulic pump in a 573 Massey Ferguson 4-wheel drive, first ensure the tractor is securely parked and the hydraulic system is depressurized. Remove any necessary covers to access the pump, disconnect the hydraulic lines and wiring, and unbolt the old pump. Install the new hydraulic pump by reversing the removal process—secure it with bolts, reconnect the hydraulic lines and wiring, and finally, check the fluid levels before testing the system.
The hydraulic filter on the Massey Ferguson 251XE is typically located on the right side of the tractor, near the hydraulic pump. It is often mounted on or near the transmission housing, making it accessible for maintenance. Always consult the operator's manual for specific details and diagrams related to your model.
Some pos problems include leaking fuel injectors leaks ,fuel pump leaking main injector pump and crack cly sleave
The thermostat on a Massey Ferguson 135 is typically located in the engine's cylinder head or the water pump housing. To access it, you usually need to remove the upper radiator hose and the thermostat housing cover. This setup allows for the regulation of coolant flow, ensuring the engine reaches optimal operating temperature. Always consult the specific service manual for your model for precise instructions.
