Yep, that's why they call it the engine cradle.
It is called the engine cradle, 4 main bolts hold the cradle to the sub-frame. An easy way to pull an engine is to drop the cradle to the ground, AFTER unhooking ALL the wiring and hoses. This should not be attempted by a nonprofessional.

Lots of guys have upgraded to the newer engine , better tranny and bigger front brakes by using 92 and up complete cradle , suspension . If your getting free or already use it. Or you can upgrade by using 97 up .
You'll need to remove the upper engine mount (dogbone). Then, with ajack under the rear of the cradle,you can unbolt the tworear cradle bolts (18mm) and lower the cradle down to get access to the front of the engine. From there it is simply unbolting the two bolts that hold the coolant crossover pipe and removing the hoses.
