A MECHANICAL ENGINEER SHOULD ALWAYS KNOW THESE THESE FOLLOWING BASICS:
NEWTONS LAWS OF MOTION
THERMODYNAMICS LAWS
STRESS STRIAN DIAGRAM (YOUNG's MODULUS)
BENDING MOMENT DIAGRAM
PRINCIPLE OF SUSPENSION BRIDGE
SOFTWARES LIKE:
PRO-E
AUTOCAD
AND A LITTLE ELECTRONICS AND A LITTLE MANAGEMENT.
A mechanical engineer is responsible for helping to design things that will not fall apart after building them. The mechanical engineer is going to let builders know how they can build a structure so that it is safe, like a bridge. He will tell them how thick the concrete needs to be and what type of foundation to use and other things.
its a glitch (if u know wut 1 is) it can be pretty dangerouse though
it is used to know and improve the quality of materials.
why don't you pay attention in class and maybe you would know!
A couple quid an hour! :) I was just wondering the same thing and hoped this question had an answer on here. I've just returned from a trade test with Amec for offshore work and there were test papers for mechanical fitters and technicians. it appears to be only offshore where they make a difference between the two. I served my apprenticeship as a mechy fitter, but my trade papers say technician. I think fitters will be more involved with simple remove and replace jobs. "replace this valve/pump etc" where as a technician will be more involved with diagnosis and repair/overhaul of mechanical equipment. that's my take on it. but as often happens in shut downs and hook ups, we all end up doing the same bloody jobs as each other and, as I said at the top of the post, the techs get a bigger wedge at the end of the trip!
Every engineer, of any engineering discipline, should have a knowledge of mathematics.
research what the job is about, buy books about it and ensure you know all the basics
One who know about Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) works in the construction industry then he called as MEP Engineer. Usually a Electrical or Mechanical Engineer can manage this work.
THATS WHAT I WANT TO KNOW..
With all his inventions all people knew Nikola Tesla was America's greatest electrical and mechanical engineer and the world knew it too. I imagine this would give Tesla an idea that he was an electrical and mechanical engineer.
i don't know that's why im asking
Bill Nye is an American science educator and mechanical engineer.
An Acccountant should hopefully know everything about the basics of accounting- and hopefully some more advanced knowledge too.
It is a tool for an engineer. I am a mechanical engineer, and you MUST know your calculus to be able to get through it, or through physics with calc. Good luck!
You need to have mechanical skills to be able to apply for a maintenance engineer job. You need to know how to work on machines if they break down and be able to troubleshoot it. The more mechanical skills you have the better you will do at the job.
There are many different types of engineering jobs. Some types listed on the internet are mechanical engineer, computer software engineer, fish farm engineer, and electrical engineer. I would need to know what type of engineering job you were looking for in order to narrow the search.
I'm not exactly sure what your question is here. If you mean to ask, 'If I don't know the basics of vehicle maintenance, should I take it to a mechanic?' then your answer is YES.
