The Drop Weight Tear Test (DWTT) is a test used to determine the fracture properties of steel at certain temperatures, and also to determine the temperature at which a steel transitions from ductile to brittle fractures. The test is performed by dropping a weighted hammer on to a full-thickness standard sized (usually 12" by 3") and notched sample, causing the sample to fracture ("tear") completely through the middle. The fractured surface is then observed and measured to determine what percentage of the "torn" area is ductile fracture. Ductile fractures are desired because they mitigate how fast and far fractures travel through the steel. The temperature at which this test is performed is important because steel becomes more likely to experience brittle fracture (which is not desired) at lower temperatures.
The advantage of this test is that it can be used on full-thickness specimens, providing a more accurate demonstration of how the steel would fracture in a real application. This test is required by API standards for certain sizes and grades of steel line pipe for oil, gas, and petroleum products, to demonstrate that the pipe can experience ductile fracture at reasonably low temperatures.

The Brinell hardness test is a standardized test in material science. It measures the hardness of a metal by measuring the indentation on the material caused by an indenter.

Shot Capacity : The maximum weight of molten resin that the injection molding machine can push out with one forward stroke of the screw during injection molding operation. Shot weight : The weight of the material injected into the mold in a single shot by an injection molding machine. (Weight of the molded part(s) + Weight of the runner + gate and the sprue)
Tear Drop Records was created in 1960.
The tear drop lizard is native to Chad.
The Irish word for tear-drop is deoir.
That is the correct spelling of "tear apart" (rip into pieces). The verb "tear" has a homophone "tare" (the weight of an empty container)The noun "tear" is a heterophone (teer), for a drop of liquid from the eye. So:Tear as in teardrops and tear as in tear apart, are spelled the same, but pronounced differently.Tear as in drops is a noun (teer).Tear as in apart is a verb (tayr).
A filled in tear drop means you've either killed someone, or are mourning the death of someone close to you. An unfilled tear drop means you've done some type of physical harm to someone(but didn't kill them), such as you shot them, stabbed them, burned them, etc.Gangs in the Blood Alliance(Bloods gang, Pirus gang, Brims gang) get their tear drop to the right side, while gangs in the Crip Alliance get their tear drop to the left side.Gangs in the Folk Nation get their tear drop to the right, gangs in the People Nation get their tear drop to the left.
When a tear drop is tattooed under the eye of an individual and it is not colored in it means you have spent time in prison, when this tear drop is colored usually black it means you were convicted of murder
A tear drop formation formed by a mineral is often known as a "tear-shaped inclusion" or "tear-shaped crystal growth." This can occur when a mineral crystallizes in a unique environment, resulting in a distinct tear drop shape within the crystal. These formations are rare and can be quite beautiful.
Teir is the Scots for tear, rend ( not the tear drop ).
You bet! Its rugged design and light weight ensure it will keep working through the occasional drop or smash.
