Both the dentist and the doctor has assured me that it is because of and infection in my wisdom tooth. maybe you have just got an infection from getting the tooth removed.

It's amazing the effects the teeth can have on the rest of you. Personally, my symptoms were: frequent sinus headaches/colds lock jaw tender gums swollen lymph nodes earaches biting the back of my cheeks against my own will.. Most of which I had for years and never associated with impacted wisdom teeth, of all things. Now that I've had them removed, all of those problems went with them. You should go see your dentist, he'll know right away.
