It means they didn't find anything unusual during the CT scan (Computed Tomography) after the Myelogram dye injection.
i was diagnosed with 'probably ms' late feb 09 after three tests: lumbar puncture analsis of CS Fluid, followed by an MRI scan in autumn 08, and a more intense brain +spine scan on the morning before pronouncement. my type of ms is primary progressive, late onset at 67.

If you are refering to a lumbar scan, here is your answer: The lumbar is the five vertebrae of the lower back. A scan of the lumbar is done with Magnetic Resonance Imaging (or MRI): a diagnostic technique that provides cross-sectional images of structures within the body without X-ray or other forms of radiation. So a Lombardi scan would probably be a scan of Vince Lombardi's lower back. I'm sure at this point in time, it is in pretty bad shape.

Can I smoke before ct scan
I recently had a lumbar spine MRI with and without contrast. My insurance company was charged $4,307 plus an additional $700+ for the radiologist's fee. When I saw the bill, I laughed thinking there must have been a mistake. Nevertheless, the insurance company actually approved $2,500 of the charges. I've had several other MRIs in the past which cost anywhere from $500 to $1750, including the radiologist's report. Since receiving the bill, I called some local imaging clinics whose charges range from $500 to $600 for a cash-pay lumbar spine MRI with and without contrast including the films and the radiologist's report. My conclusion is there is no such thing as an 'average cost' for a lumbar spine MRI. The cost is whatever the clinic wants to charge. Unfortunately, the doctor who orders the MRI usually sends you to the MRI clinic associated with his practice and he has no idea of the cost. And the patient usually trusts the doctor and doesn't bother asking the price ahead of time or shopping around. That was what happened in my case, and now I know why insurance premiums are so high. The moral: always shop around...
DefinitionA radionuclide cisternogram is a nuclear scan test used to diagnose spinal fluid circulation problems.Alternative NamesIntrathecal scan; Spinal cord scan; CSF flow scan; CisternogramHow the test is performedA lumbar puncture (spinal tap) is done first. Small amounts of radioactive material, called a radioisotope, are injected into the fluid in the lower spine. You will be scanned 4 - 6 hours after receiving this injection. A special camera creates images that show how the radioactive materials travel with the cerebrospinal fluid through the spine and if the fluid leaks outside the spine. You will be scanned again 24 hours after injection, and possibly at 48 and 72 hours after injection. How to prepare for the testNo preparation is usually necessary. However, if you are very anxious or agitated, sedation may be necessary. You must sign a consent form. You will wear a hospital gown to make the spine more accessible. Remove jewelry or metallic objects before the scan. How the test will feelDuring lumbar puncture, the lower back over the spine is numbed with an anesthetic. However, many people find lumbar puncture somewhat uncomfortable, usually because of the pressure on the spine during insertion of the needle. The scan is painless, although the table may be cold or hard. No discomfort is produced by the radioisotope or the scanner. Why the test is performedThe test is performed to detect problems with spinal fluid circulation and spinal fluid leaks.Normal ValuesA normal value indicates normal circulation of CSF through all parts of the brain and spinal cord. What abnormal results meanAn abnormal study indicates disorders of CSF circulation, including:HydrocephalusCSF leakNormal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH)Whether or not a CSF shunt is open or blockedWhat the risks areRisks associated with a lumbar puncture include pain at the injection site, bleeding, and infection. There is also a very rare chance of nerve damage. The amount of radiation used during the nuclear scan is very small, and virtually all of the radiation is gone within a few days. There have been no documented cases of injury or damage caused by the radioisotope used with this scan. However, as with any radiation exposure, caution is advised if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. In extremely rare cases, a person will develop an allergic reaction to the radioisotope used during the scan. This may include a serious anaphylactic reaction.Special considerationsYou should lie flat after the lumbar puncture (to help prevent headache from the lumbar puncture). No other special care is usually necessary.ReferencesSilberstein S, Young W. Headache and Facial Pain. In: Goetz, CG, eds. Textbook of Clinical Neurology. 3rd ed. should you eat before having a ct scan of the chest and abdomen
No. Only the spaces where the disks are. And MRI or CT scan can actually image the disk itself.
